Flexible orifice varies effective area inversely to the applied pressure
At pressures below threshold point, flexible insert acts as a fixed orifice
Above threshold point, insert begins to reduce orifice area maintaining desired flow output
Flow rates maintained to within ±15% up to pressure drops of 125 psi
Flow rate varies due to tolerances and water temperatures
Used, where possible, in flow regulators with flow rates between 1 US GPM and 4 US GPM
All flow regulators are recommended for potable water below 180°F
